About the Role

You will be representing the Kirk helping the Duty Manager at concert events which usually happen in the evenings on Fridays and Saturdays or the occasional Sunday.  You will be assisting the Duty Manager helping direct audiences to their seats, manning fire exits and helping with basic enquiries such as directing folk to the toilets, exits or giving out programmes. As you will be representing the Kirk with your duties,  a good standard of dress and bearing is required and you will be required to wear a name badge.

Tasks Involved

You are there to help the Duty Manager with the safety and security of the audience in the Kirk and will undertake general duties roles as described above. You will receive a crib-sheet detailing your duties fire exits/procedures.  You will receive a one first aid training from a third party supplier. Occasionally you are asked to assist the Duty Manager with putting hymn books into the backs of chairs.  If able, you might be happy to move chairs or help tidy up the Kirk.

When and Where

Your duty would be at the Kirk in the main sanctuary which would be used in a concert setting in the evenings.

Time Commitment

Usually you are required 45 minutes before the start of a concert.  Concerts usually start between 7-8pm.  Your duty will last until the completion of the concert and when the bulk of the audience has left the building. You are therefore required for about three hours per concert.
